Watercolor miniature artist Greg Stones of RI, returns with his NEW limited edition volume of “GOODBYE PENGUINS”and his unique collection.  Steve Brewster of Oklaholma brings back his immense- hand blown, hand carved, fused glass roundels, sculptures and fantasy tables.  8 foot welded iron men, eagles, huge horses and moose are metal, wood, stone, and copper sculptures for outdoors, garden, and interiors by 4 sculptors. Two Blacksmiths forge their  iron and steel objects both utilitarian and decorative before your eyes.  Michael McCarthy carves his wonderful shore birds...  Anne Viens demonstrates glass bead making for jewelry with her torch and kiln.  Carole Martin spins the wool she dyes, selling skeins and knit wear.  Pat Zahoruiko builds magnificent furniture from the VT woodlands and forests, uniting wild branches and twigs with smooth barks and planed panels.  Dan Welch uses Texas Cedar for his hope chests, hutches, book cases and bird homes. Included-Wooden ship models, hand turned bowls and vessels. , Painted Silk & linen apparel, kids clothing.       Twenty jewelers have been selected from over 500 entries, to include-hand wrought sterling, gold ,and platinum, noble metals, gem stones, dichroic glass ,and demonstrating fimo clay .

 

Sixteen photographers with nature, architectural, travel, black and white, hand painted negatives, floral, bird and animal life, European escapes, abstract, ancient ruins, castle, chateaux, and quiet refuges.   Pencil, water color, and conte portrait artist on location.

All manner of painting mediums, from archaic, visionary, mythical, childrens illustrations, wild and witty parodies of the masters, oversized major marine paintings, to contemporary

abstract- layered paint over paper, embroidered, and woven surfaces, in brilliant colors.

 

Musicians playing their hand carved flutes and woodwinds, light classical renditions  on keyboard, and foot tapping South American rhythms, add to the ambiance of the food court with both Cub and Boy Scouts grilling hamburgers, frankfurters, serving breakfast and lunch.  Pierogi and kielbasa, Lobster rolls, clam chowder and lobster bisque, Southern fried chicken, fruit smoothies, NY fruit covered cheese cake, pad thai/ garlic chicken. Hand made ice cream, chocolates, fudge, candy . A great festival to end the 45th year of Meet the Artists!
