Meet the Artists and Artisans was recently ranked as #69 by the prestigious Sunshine Artists 100 Best Fine Art Shows in the United States, America's premiere show and festival guide, and is based on sales totals reported by subscribers.   The American Bus Association announced that the Annual Spring and Fall Milford Green shows of Meet the Artists & Artisans (MTA&A) has been designated by an elite tourism industry selection committee as one of the TOP 100 Events in North America for the Millennium.

In selecting the Milford-based MTA&A, the committee considered the event's broad appeal, accessibility, and a variety of other relevant quality criteria. Because objective quality criteria are used in the judging process, some states and provinces did not receive any TOP 100 designations. The Green is 1 block from the Water, Milford Landing, Milford Harbor, and the RR station, in the historic district of this charming coastal New England Town.

"It is a great honor to be ranked among the best shows in the country" Since 1962 only the finest exhibitors have been selected to represent their unique Fine Art and individual Handcrafts. From coast to coast Fine artists-painters, sculptors, photographers, graphic illustrators, portrait sketchers, are chosen from hundreds of applicants to represent their original creations by demonstrating, discussing, displaying and selling their distinctive work. Handcrafts include carvers, furniture makers, jewelry, stained-fused-leaded-copper foiled-glass, weaving,  calligraphy, caricatures, fountains , adult and children's clothiers, toys, floral designs, quilting and herbs. Musicians play Classical music, and dining al fresco beneath the stately old trees is provided by a variety of American and Ethnic cuisines.
